Last saturdays trip to the library was quite fun. I didn't read in a long time, so I decided it was time to borrow some books.
I got four and finished them all. The first two I read in about 3 days, but then I got caught up in some work, so I had to take a little break. But no worries, I couldn't go without reading for long, so on wednesday I started reading the third one.
I didn't regret borrowing any of them, but I decided to put them on reading list and not on MustRead. They were really good but it'll be faster to do it in just one post.
1. Never google heartbreak by Emma Garcia
Funny, relaxing story about Vivienne. After breakup with Rob, her fiance, she keeps thinking she will get back together with him. So it comes as quite a shock when he finds out that he's engaged after couple of months they aren't dating. She is spending a lot of time with her best friend Max, and going on and on about Rob. When she figures Max is actually really cute and funny, Rob is begging her to get back together.
Story has some amusing characters and complications. If you're looking for some light reading, that's the book to go with ;).
2. The Guardian Angel's Journal by Carolyn Jess-Cooke
When Margot dies at 42 she is sent back to Earth as her own Angel Guardian. As Ruth she starts re-living her life and has to deal with all the wrong decisions once again. Can she change her future and the criminal past of her son?
Really interesting story on a whole other level than those witty romances. I recommend it to anybody looking for an interesting, unpredictable story. You can't guess the end ;).
3. The Wedding Girl by Sophie Kinsella
Milly is preparing for her wedding day with her Simon. But her past starts catching up. When Milly was 18, she got married to Allan, so he and his lover Rupert could stay together in the same country. There's no evidence of that except one picture that starts shaking things up. Will Milly save the day or will everything fall apart?
I read it in a day, liked it. It has some twists and turns and an interesting end.
4. Library of the Dead by Glenn Cooper
FBI agent Will Piper (expert in finding serial killers) is drawn back to the world he left when a serial killer starts his journey. But investigating the case starts revealing centuries old secret that should remain hidden.
Really good book and story. At first it's a little confusing when story is told in three different time zones. But when the story becomes more complicated you are in the book. You can't leave it alone. And when you finnish it you just sit there thinking about the brilliancy of the story ;).
