Life lately #2

Sooo....
A lot has been going on so I'll divide it and made a short update on what has been done, how, when.... ;)

1. Exams.
So, as I probably already mentioned, I have 2 really hard exams. I passed one! In July. I was so nervous I could barely function and I started shaking when I got the resuts. But I did it. The othe one is coming up! I am already studying but the progress is slow. It's on 11th of September. I have some time but this one worries me the most... I have to pass, because if I don't I can't proceed in last year of college. But I will do it, I just have to kick my laziness away and start working :).

2. Seaside
I went on holidays with my family, since T and I can't go together (he is a professional football player. That makes him available in the middle of June, when I have an exam period). However he managed to get 2 days of and go with me. We went in Mareda, Croatia and I was going back and forth between home and seaside for those two weeks. Reason? Our play.

3. Kralj gora in ljudomrznik.
Our show. In summer theater Studenec, there is a major play every year. A theater that accepts around 1000 viewers is full mostly every weekend. There are 16 performances in 4 weekends through July and August. 13 done, 3 more to go - last weekend in August. Previous years I participated but mostly as a dancer, nothing special. This year I have a role and I'm quite proud of it. I'm one of 3 ex-wives. Dead. So we are ghosts. Scared? ;)

4. My birthday
I had a birthday in July - I am a Leo. And I got the best birthday gift ever - a puppy. Pug called Poncho was waiting for me with a big blue bow. It was the best surprise my family made for me! He's just so cute and I'd post pictures of him all the time.

5. Shopping
I am a bit addicted. Every time I got some money I go to the stores. But fall is coming right? So I've done some shopping and I love it. I got gift vouchers for New Yorker and butique Baba Kul - I also work there and love the clothes, so Boti nailed it with the gift ;). Anyways today I went in Baba Kul and got 2 shirts. I love them and the weather is just perfect to wear them :). I got 2 quick pictures, more will follow in separate post.

6. New phone
Last but not least my new phone. Samsung Galaxy S6 in color Blue Topaz. What can  I say, I'm in love. :)

Life lately #1

I finnished all my exams!! Well, all I had untill now. I have officially completed 3rd year of college.  I had 5 exams in this period in I passed all of them. The only problem is that I have 2 more from last year. One is on Friday and one in September. If I don't pass them I can't proceed to 4th year, and I have to pay for both of them (180 euros for one, talk about student price...). But anyways, I have to pass them and I will.

There is, however, one small problem. My motivation. I know I have to pass, I want to study, I do study... for a few minutes. Then I wander off with my thoughts or I start checking my phone or something like that... Then I get back but it just doesn't work really well. So I will have to "push my limits" on this one, since I have it on Friday. And I have to pass!!

And then... holidays. Just can't wait ;). T is staying in his current club in Austria and he can take a day or two off, so this weekend we're going to the seaside even if just for a day or two.

On Monday I work, so I'm good untill Thursday and then I'm practically free. We're premiering with our show on 18th of July, so the weekends are off the limit, but it will be fun. This year I have an actual role - before I was mostly a dancer; and I'm one of 3 ghosts. It's a challenge since most of the actors are professionals or at least really experienced but nevertheless I figured out my role and I will manage it. I had a huge "stage fright" at the beginning, because they were all looking at me (stupid since I have no problems when I dance...) but once I figured out how to get my part done, the problems ended.

Anyways, I'm sooo looking forward to holidays. I'm going to the seaside with my family (partialy, because of the shows, but still) and I just wanna lay on the beach, read books and swim, swim, swim :). I'm planning on robbing the library as soon as I finnish my last exam and even buy some books. And then just read all days long :).

I'm open to suggestions about books. And I'll try to post something soon.

How to: procrastinate #1

Procrastination. I think almost everyone knows it. More or less. But to be a real professional it takes time :P. I don't want to brag but I think I became quite good at it.

There's no worse feeling than waking up knowing you have loads of work to do. And when you don't know where to start - you take some time for yourself instead. I know I could get things done properly if I would divide them, and get them started. But instead I procrastinate and leave everything to last possible minute. Why? Even I don't have a clue.

But. How to do it?

1. Think about all the work you need to get done. Just think about it and let the panic overrun you. :D
There's nothing better but to go through everything, BUT - not actually start it.

2. Take some time for yourself, since you won't be able to later...
That means just one thing and then you get your work started. Whether it's an episode of your favorite show or a chapter of a good book (for me it ends as a whole book, most of the time).

3. Start watching a new show.
One so interesting, you won't be able to stop untill you finnish the season - if possible. If you can't find anything wort watching, you might just re-watch old ones. Not that I would do this (Could this BE more of a lie) :D. I can't help it - I am obsessed.

4. Start reading a book.
Even if you don't normally read. Ever. That's not the case with me but the library has quite a sense of humor. Every time I really need to get something done, I find at least 3 books I'd borrow. When I go there intentionally I spend some time and nerves borrowing one book :(

5. Just be on the computer - social media.
That's the easiest one. Just start scrolling down your feed. Even old posts that you've already seen are more interesting then loads of work..

 

 

6. Clean your room.
Why not? You really CAN'T work like this! The only problem with me - I get super motivated, start cleaning it and stop after approximately 15 minutes. It's just too much work to get everything in order as I imagined it.

Mops, ...

Toreeej. Spet ena v slovenščini. Ne da se mi v angleščini :D

Kot vedno sem tudi ta teden polno zaposlena. Danes sem imela za oddat in predstavit seminarsko (delali sva jo včeraj s sošolko), do jutri je finiš oddaja ene naloge v petek pa še članek za moje novinarstvo :D. Predmet (uvod v novinarstvo 2) mi je res všeč, ampak moram biti pridna in svoje bisernate prispevke (sarcasm, people) oddajati redno. In ker sem temo za članek dobila vsaj 1 teden kasneje kot ostali (res nisem imela idej!!!), imam tudi rok krajši. Oddaja je torej, če razberete iz nakladanja, v petek. Članek mor biti zelo dolg, rabim še sogovornike... Don't even ask....

V nedeljo smo bili na vztrajnostni dirki z mopedi (don't kill me če izraz ni čisto pravilno uporabljen). Pač max 50 cc., se pravi mopedi, tomosi, frčiji, avtomatiki... Name it as you wish. In bilo je kar zanimivo. Seveda sta našo družino predstavljali dve ekipi, ki sta se odlično izkazali. Kljub temu pa je mene bolj pritegnil mopsek Beni :D. Ves čas sem bila z njim in lastnico, ki je prava faca in enciklopedija za vzgajanje. Vem torej že veliiiko, mopsa/frenčija pa še nimam. Vse ob svojem času :P

Ena ekipa - Luka in Matej s prijateljem Gašperjem

Hotela sem napisati poseben post tudi o Evroviziji*, ki jo religiozno spremljam vsako leto že od osnovne šole, ampak sem se med rezultati finala odločila, da je o tem škoda izgubljati besed. Zato čisto na kratko.
1. Pri prvem izboru mi večina, ki je napredovala ni bila všeč.
2. Naši so (meni osebno) bili boljši kot Srbija. (1 country at a time)
3. Izrael in Makedonija - replay all day
4. Rusija .... Seriously?!
5. Švedska je bila dobra, še bolj lepa ;), ampak lahko bi zmagali Italijani (ob tem naj poudarim da "makaronarji" niso med mojimi najljubšimi narodi, ampak ta pesem je bila res 1A!)
6. Ne vem kaj bi še, celotno glasovanje je bilo zgrešeno...

Se še spomnite objave o butiku Baba Kul? :). Ful fajni butik v Domžalah z noro dobrimi oblačili in zelo prijazno lastnico. No, ta lastnica se je spomnila name in tako ji bom občasno pomagala. Tako v butiku kot pri promociji #happy :D

V petek grem v gledališče. Prostovoljno :D. Na okrogli mizi, ki jo je naše društvo (z najtežje izgovorljivo kratico - ŠS PRSS, malo za šalo, malo zares) organiziralo skupaj z Dramo, sem jih dobila v "nagradni igri". In ker ima moj dragi trening, se bom kulturno izobraževala z mami :). Škodilo nama ne bo, še posebej če bo po koncu sledil še kakšen koktejl. Dež na obzorju ;)

Moje nove lepe all starke so lepe modre barve. Ker niso imeli peppermint odtenka so se potrudili in pred mojim prihodom dobili novo robo. Tako da so moje nove nove all starke zelo lepe :D.
 
Haha, neumni trije stavki, vem. Enostavno se mi ne da filtrirat. Kar mi pade na misel, napišem. Konec koncev zakaj pa je blog če ne za to :D. V glavnem, slikice all stark pridejo, ko bom malo manj lena in se mi bo dejansko dalo vstati iz postelje (don't judge me).

Za lahko noč pa tale spodaj, res je všečna! :)

Povezovali smo Slovenijo

Verjetno sem že omenjala, da sem kot prostovoljka sodelovala na dogodku Speak up, ki ga je organiziral Zavod Ypsilon. Po tem sem se, kot piarovka (še vedno prostovoljno) pridružila projektu Mentorstvo. Vizija projekta je, da bi vsak mlad imel svojega mentorja. Vse skupaj pa je včeraj zaokrožila akcija Slovenija - mentorska država. Na 44 lokacijah po Sloveniji so namreč potekale delavnice o mentorskem povezovanju. Tako so si mladi lahko kar tam našli mentorja.

Bilo je naporno, moram priznati. Na faksu se mi je nakopičilo toliko dela, da sem približno en teden pred akcijo morala zelo popustit in se osredotočiti na seminarske naloge in predstavitve ki so se kar vrstile (in se še...). Na našem faksu imamo namreč vse roke oddaj konec maja, se razume. Da imamo lahko direktno za tem izpite. Nesmiselno bi namreč bilo, da bi seminarske delali med letom in imeli nato kakšen teden časa da se dejansko pripravimo na izpite. Veliko bolj zabavno je, če je vse na kupu. Could this BE any better (sorry, Chandler moment :D)

V glavnem, namen te objave ni promoviranje akcije, ampak sem vseeno hotela napisati nekaj o njej. Navsezadnje je dobra priložnost za vse. Mladi imamo možnost, da si najdemo nekoga iz področja ki nas zanima. Mentor nam laho pomaga pri pridobivanju izkušenj, daje nam nasvete... Ko se spoprimemo s kakšno situacijo lahko dobimo nasvet od nekoga, ki je to mogoče že dal čez. In to je v današnjem času, ko vsi želijo izkušnje in ne vem kaj še vse, že pri študentskem delu, neprecenljivo.

Sama si mentorja še nisem izbrala, čakam na osebo, ki me bo tako navdušila, da jo bom v trenutku kontaktirala in povabila k sodelovanju. Predvsem pa, ki bo opravljala delo ki me zanima (mostly PR) in v podjetju, ki mi je všeč. Med mentorji pa se najdejo res kul osebe! (No, vsi mentorji so kul že zato ker sodelujejo (; ). Ampak imeti mentorja kot je Tanja Fajon ali Darja Zgonc (in še mnogo drugih) je enkratno.

Upam, da se situacija tudi na faksu malce umiri, ker sta bila zadnja 2 tedna nora. Ampak, vem, če ne bi imela nič bi bilo pa dolgčas. Včeraj sem se na žalost lahko udeležila samo tiskovne konference ZRSZ (pa še to sem morala predčasno zapustiti zaradi predstavitev na faksu), ampak sem bila ob spremljanju širjenja akcije vseeno vesela, da sem zraven svoj majhen delež prispevala tudi jaz ;).

Sledijo slikice z okvirjem, s pomočjo katerega smo širili akcijo. In moram reči da zelena barva tega okvirja vsako fotko naredi noro hudo ;).

Študentsko ? delo

Danes sem po dolgem času šla na stran Kariernega centra UL in Študentskega servisa, da bi si pogledala razpisane oglase za delo. Na strani Študentskega servisa sem tako 5 min scrolala po razpisanih prostih mestih, seveda z določenimi kriteriji kot so osrednjeslovenska regija itd.

Najprej sem gledala samo opise oglasov, iskala sem kaj, kar res pride v poštev glede na smer mojega študija. Potem pa sem pri vse preveč oglasih opazila v oči bodeče dejstvo - delovnik: dopoldan. Zanima me, kakšne študente iščejo. So to študenti, ki pridno hodijo na faks, poleg tega pa želijo še nekaj malega zaslužiti, da pridejo čez mesec? So to pridni študenti, ki bi si ob študiju radi nabrali še izkušnje? Ne. V veliki večini so študenti, ki ne hodijo na faks, ampak "pavzirajo", ponavljajo...

Reading list #1

Last saturdays trip to the library was quite fun. I didn't read in a long time, so I decided it was time to borrow some books.

I got four and finished them all. The first two I read in about 3 days, but then I got caught up in some work, so I had to take a little break. But no worries, I couldn't go without reading for long, so on wednesday I started reading the third one.

I didn't regret borrowing any of them, but I decided to put them on reading list and not on MustRead.They were really good but it'll be faster to do it in just one post.

1. Never google heartbreak by Emma Garcia
Funny, relaxing story about Vivienne. After breakup with Rob, her fiance, she keeps thinking she will get back together with him. So it comes as quite a shock when he finds out that he's engaged after couple of months they aren't dating. She is spending a lot of time with her best friend Max, and going on and on about Rob. When she figures Max is actually really cute and funny, Rob is begging her to get back together.

Story has some amusing characters and complications. If you're looking for some light reading, that's the book to go with ;).
